Y2L Academy policies
Cancellation, refunds, trials, makeups, and waitlists
Trials and assessments
Trial sessions may be available for select programs based on current enrollment, instructor availability, and session capacity. Submit a trial request through the Register or Contact page. Operations will confirm whether a trial is available, what it covers, and any applicable fee before the session. A trial request does not reserve a permanent seat or guarantee ongoing enrollment.
Enrollment
Enrollment in year-round programs is confirmed by Y2L Academy operations after a placement conversation or assessment. Submitting an inquiry or request form does not guarantee a seat. Families receive a portal invitation and invoice only after placement is confirmed. Summer camp enrollment is processed through the Summer Enrollment form and is subject to available capacity.
Cancellation
Families wishing to cancel a year-round enrollment should contact Y2L Academy in writing as early as possible. A minimum of two weeks' notice is requested for mid-session cancellations. Summer camp cancellations received more than seven days before the camp week starts are eligible for a credit or refund. Cancellations with fewer than seven days' notice may not be eligible for a refund for that week. Y2L Academy reserves the right to cancel a camp week due to insufficient enrollment; enrolled families will receive a full credit or refund in that case.
Refunds
Approved refunds for online card payments are returned to the original payment method within five to ten business days. Refunds for Zelle, cash, or check payments are issued by check or Zelle at Y2L Academy's discretion. Processing fees charged by the payment processor are non-refundable once a transaction is complete. Partial refunds may be issued when a portion of a session or camp week has already been delivered.
Makeups
Students with an active year-round enrollment who miss a class due to illness or a scheduling conflict may be eligible to request a makeup session. Makeup requests are reviewed based on attendance history, available capacity in another session, and program policy. A makeup request is not confirmed until Y2L Academy approves it and identifies an available slot. Makeups are not available for summer camp absences unless Y2L Academy announces otherwise.
Waitlists
When a class, camp week, or event is full, families may request to be placed on a waitlist. No payment is collected for a waitlisted position. If a seat becomes available, Y2L Academy will contact the family with instructions to confirm enrollment and complete payment. Waitlisted families are not guaranteed a seat.
Program changes
Y2L Academy reserves the right to adjust schedules, instructors, session formats, and program offerings to meet operational needs. Families will be notified of significant changes as early as possible. If Y2L Academy cancels a confirmed session for operational reasons, enrolled families will receive a credit or refund for the affected period.
