MAA American Mathematics Competitions

A local AMC test center built around student confidence.

Y2L Academy will host AMC 8, AMC 10, and AMC 12 for the 2026–27 cycle at our Lathrop learning center, in collaboration with S.A.M. Singapore Math.

AMC 8

For students in grade 8 or below who are under 15.5 years old.

For students in grade 10 or below who are under 17.5 years old.

A and B dates may both be selected

For students in grade 12 or below who are under 19.5 years old.

Important scheduling rule

AMC 10A and AMC 12A cannot be combined, and AMC 10B and AMC 12B cannot be combined. Eligible students may combine competitions held on different dates, such as AMC 10A and AMC 12B.

Competition-day essentials

  • All competitions are administered in person; remote proctoring is not permitted.
  • Calculators, phones, smartwatches, and similar electronic devices are not allowed.
  • AMC 8 has 25 questions in 40 minutes. AMC 10 and AMC 12 have 25 questions in 75 minutes.
  • Final local arrival times, materials, and center instructions are sent to confirmed families.
