Rules, piece movement, check/checkmate, and basic notation
Opening principles (center, develop, castle) for White & Black
Essential tactics (forks, pins) and basic endgame mates
Weekly chess puzzle/game homework (reviewed in next session)

Progress Check Games: Session 5 & Session 11 (skill checkpoints, not rated)

Intermediate Track (Tactics & Tournament Skills)

Ideal for students who know the basics and want stronger calculation and tactics. We focus on:

Tactical devices (fork/skewer, pins, discovered attacks/checks)
Combination themes (deflection, attraction, elimination of defenders, interference)
Mating patterns (back-rank, smothered mate) and conversion technique
Weekly chess puzzle/game homework (reviewed in next session)
