How family and student information is handled
Information we collect
Y2L Academy collects information that families provide when submitting inquiries, enrollment requests, event registrations, or portal account details. This includes parent or guardian names, email addresses, phone numbers, student names, grade levels, program interests, emergency contacts, accommodation or allergy notes, payment records, and communication history.
How we use information
Information is used to respond to inquiries, conduct assessments and trials, manage enrollment and session records, operate classes and events, process payments and issue receipts, maintain family portal accounts, and communicate with authorized guardians about their child's programs.
Information sharing
Y2L Academy shares family and student information only with authorized staff, instructors, and service providers necessary to operate the website, portal, scheduling, payment processing, and communications systems. We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
Payment security
Online card payments are processed by Square or another PCI-compliant payment provider. Y2L Academy does not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or complete payment credentials in WordPress or in our own systems. Payment provider records are subject to the respective provider's privacy and security policies.
Children's information
Y2L Academy collects limited information about enrolled students, including name, grade, and program participation, as necessary to operate educational programs. We do not collect or publish student information beyond what is needed for enrollment, class management, and family communication.
Data retention
Family, student, enrollment, and payment records are retained as long as needed to support active enrollments, respond to billing questions, and meet reasonable business and legal record-keeping requirements. Families may contact us to request corrections or to ask about record deletion.
Access and corrections
Authorized guardians may contact Y2L Academy at contact@y2lacademy.com to request corrections to account, student, or contact information on file.
Updates to this policy
Y2L Academy may update this privacy policy as programs, systems, or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page. Continued use of the website or portal after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
